In the enlarged Ani community of Shirak marz, where three political forces are competing, local government elections are going quite quietly.
Although the competition is hot here, no extraordinary incident has been registered so far. Voters are overly active, sometimes there are crowds at the polling stations, which is somewhat understandable. due to the large number of candidates.
The three political forces together have 147 candidates. Ani has 15,901 voters.
20 polling stations were formed in 18 settlements.
According to Gor Petrosyan, the chairman of the 33 electoral district electoral commission, the elections pass without serious violations, the process is so calm that even they are sometimes surprised.
Electoral commission No. 33 received alarms, but they did not have a significant impact on the electoral process.
Our interlocutor also states that unprecedented activity is observed, as of 11:00, 7.8 percent of voters have already participated.
Gor Petrosyan singles out the case of double voting in polling station No. 33/9 of Karaberd community from the recorded election violations.
“The incident of double voting took place under the pretext of helping the grandmother.
A young girl swiped her grandmother’s passport with technical equipment. They went together, chose, returned, after which the helper had to make a choice. He mistakenly gave his grandmother’s passport again, due to which a double election was registered. Of course, this is the fault of the technical equipment specialist, he did not pay attention to the fact that it is not the young girl’s passport, but the grandmother’s passport.
In general, the elections are very peaceful and normal. There are no incidents, we have information from all precincts, elections are taking place calmly, we are even surprised that it is so peaceful and calm,” says Gor Petrosyan.
According to Arsen Alaverdyan, the chairman of polling station 33/01 located in school No. 1 of Maralik city, this time the residents of Ani are very active and interested in participating. According to him, it is impossible to direct the voters, because the legal awareness of the citizens has increased, they have long decided who to vote for.
