In case of positive results of the referendum on joining Russia, Russia will consider Ukraine’s attempts to return Donbass as an attack on its own territory, Russian President’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
“Without a doubt,” he said, answering the journalists’ question that if the referendum on joining the Russian Federation registers positive results, will Russia consider Kiev’s attempts to return Donbass as an attack on its own territory?
Peskov added that after the adoption of the decision on joining the Russian Federation, the constitution of the Russian Federation will start working in the territories where the referendum was held.
“Everything is very clear in this matter. If the act on the issue of introducing these territories into Russia is adopted, then the corresponding provisions of our constitution will start to operate there,” TASS quoted the press spokesman of the Russian President.
