On December 15, the “Winter energy” New Year event was held for the students of Metsamor High School No. 2 within the framework of the More for Metsamor program of “Rosatom” head corporation. The main goal was to show the high school students the value of teamwork, the ability to combine talents and skills around a common idea, which allows them to be successful in the modern world. During the event, the schoolchildren participated in intellectual-sports team competitions.
“More for Metsamor program aims to support schoolchildren in their efforts to acquire modern knowledge. Within the framework of the project, we draw attention to the fact that in addition to academic knowledge, it is also possible to develop so-called soft skills, without which it is impossible to form an effective team, conduct successful negotiations and be creative. approach the solution of the problem. “As a global company, Rosatom is accumulating, coordinating, skills and knowledge. During the competition, each participant was able to contribute to the victory by demonstrating knowledge in physics, chemistry, literature, as well as physical strength, agility, and even the ability of music.
After the team games, the students participated in a scientific performance, during which they were able to see the process of snowflake molding, shrinking objects by freezing, and even holding a “cold” fire in their hands. The winners of the competition received prizes, and all the participants received positive feedback from Winter energy.
“More for Metsamor” project Launched in 2019 և aims to organize the availability of modern educational standards և Transformation of Metsamor High School into an “educational hub” for the city. Within the framework of the program, the school organizes meetings with prominent people from Armenia and Russia, who, through their experience, present success stories to the growing generation. Educational and scientific visits are carried out in Armenia. Within the framework of the “More for Metsamor” project, a multimedia zone has been created on the basis of the school, which allows conducting interactive lessons, events in the format of a film lecture, and organizing other lectures. In 2020, due to a coronavirus pandemic, the project was suspended. From April 2021, “More for Metsamor” gets a new life with all the necessary security measures.
